Why Cosmos?
The
Lightest
Device of
Its Kind
Cosmos is the lightest device of its kind in the world, at
13.5 kg for the qualifying version and 9.5 kg for the
personal use version. The device is made of 5 pieces that
can be detached and installed very easily.
It is easy to use for the patient and the physiotherapist uses the
device piece by piece with ease, and it is also easy to move around
with it because it is placed in a small bag, so the patient can move
and travel with it very easily.

The Egyptian startup medical exoskeleton company Cosmos
Bionics was featured in an episode of Shark Tank Egypt.
The CTO of Cosmos Bionics, Mina Ashraf Sadek, and his
team presented in front of the sharks.
The pitch includes that there are over 2 million people in
Egypt alone who suffer from mobility impairment. In the
end, Cosmos Bionics accepted an offer from one of the
sharks, for 3 M EGP (roughly $100k), in return for a 10%
stake in the company.
The investment money is planned to be used primarily for
research and to start the certification journey towards
ISO 13485 and CE mark.
